ShechterCare®

The Origins: Two Decades of Dedication

Cynthia Shechter began her private practice journey over a decade ago in Midtown Manhattan on Madison Avenue, developing a patient-focused approach to lymphedema care and rehabilitation.

In 2019, she brought her expertise to Emerson, New Jersey, founding ShechterCare® with a clear mission: focus on what patients can do—and help them regain strength, function, and confidence.

In 2023, her distinct approach was recognized by AONN+ with the Catch of the Year Award.

Educational Foundation and Personal Philosophy

With a Bachelor’s degree in Clinical Sociology from Ithaca College and a Master’s in Occupational Therapy from New York University, Cynthia’s training shaped her whole-person philosophy. She treats more than a diagnosis—she treats the individual behind it.
